MR flow measurement of coronary artery bypass graft and stress myocardial perfusion MRI for the detection of graft stenosis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Stress myocardial perfusion MRI allows for accurate detection of flow-limiting stenosis in the coronary artery. However, reduced diagnostic accuracy of stress myocardial perfusion MRI was reported in patients with coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG). Flow measurement in CABG is another MR approach that permits functional assessment of graft stenosis. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the value of MR study that combines MR flow measurement of CABG and stress myocardial perfusion MRI in detecting graft stenosis.

Is there an indication for computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging in the evaluation of coronary artery bypass grafts?
This meta-analysis evaluates the diagnostic accuracy of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for bypass graft occlusion and stenosis detection compared with coronary angiography in post-coronary artery bypass graft patients. The indication for noninvasive imaging in post-coronary artery bypass graft patients with these techniques is discussed. Overall, M...
متن کاملComparison of the Graft Angles Effects on the Temporal Wall Shear Stress Gradients in the Aorto-Coronary and Coronary-Coronary Bypasses
In this theoretical study, the effect of various types of bypass graft angles on the flow field, has been investigated specially on the temporal Wall Shear Stress (WSS) on the toe, heel and some locations on the bed of the Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery at the anastomoses areas in the Aorto-Coronary (AC) and Coronary-Coronary (CC) bypasses. Flow fields in both bypasses with angles of...
متن کاملNon-Ischemic Perfusion Defects due to Delayed Arrival of Contrast Material on Stress Perfusion Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging after Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery
Herein we report about the adenosine stress perfusion MR imaging findings of a 50-year-old man who exhibited two different perfusion defects resulting from two different mechanisms after a coronary artery bypass surgery. An invasive coronary angiography confirmed that one perfusion defect at the mid-anterior wall resulted from an ischemia due to graft stenosis. However, no stenosis was detected...
متن کاملMyocardial perfusion scan accuracy in detection of coronary artery disease - Comparison with exercise stress test [Persian]
Introduction: In patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) noninvasive evaluation for detection of ischemia is important to avoid invasive interventions like angiography. Exercise stress test is conventionally the first study used in evaluation of CAD. Considering the noninvasive nature of the myocardial perfusion scan, we decided to compare its accuracy with stress test. Methods: Patie...
متن کاملThe effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy on depression, anxiety and stress in patients after coronary artery bypass graft surgery
Abstract Aim. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of cognitive-behavioral therapy on depression, anxiety, and stress in patients after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Background. Coronary artery bypass graft surgery, like other surgeries, is stressful for the patient, and depression, anxiety, and stress are common important disorders in these patients. In this regard, one of t...
